The Oscar’s Experience, San Antonio, Texas
On the 24th February 2013, The Special Olympics of Texas partnered with the KSAT 12, the ABC affiliate in San Antonio, Texas, Santikos Palladium Imax Theatres and Valero Energy Group to host a viewing of the Oscars. Other sponsors included Coca-Cola Refreshments, Food Town, H-E-B Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The Oscars Experience was set up over 20-years ago by The Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences to allow local charities to host Oscar viewing parties and raise money for their organizations.
Miss San Antonio Teen Presley Price, Miss San Antonio Brooklyn Dippo and Miss Texas Hill Country Caroline Carothers were also at the event as well as the Special Olympians.
The event was MC’d by KSAT 12 Anchor Steve Spriester.
